Did You Know.....

~ With very few exceptions, essential oils should not be applied to your skin without proper     dilution.

~ Some oils should not be used for children, adults with specific conditions and during              pregnancy or breast-feeding.

~ Oils have a shelf life.

~ Some oils can make you sensitive to the sun and more prone to sunburn.

~ Adulteration is a growing concern within the industry.  Adulterated oils are less effective       and can present safety issues.

~ Essential oil labels should include the botanical name to distinguish between oils with the     same common name but different chemical makeup.  This is important because each oil       has specific beneficial properties and safety precautions.

~ Third-party lab analysis (GC-MS) should be available for each batch of oil to help ensure       quality.  Trained aromatherapists request this information when ordering oils.
